OK where to start. I know, I know, we’ve been neglecting the blog for a few weeks, its hard to find the time but here I am making the time.  Me ?  Revising, and exams, I bit the bullet and after a year of nothing added to my MCSA I thought why not, and checked my transcript. Something went wrong somewhere though, I thought I had two to do, but it turned out to be three for the MCSE, then last week I did another to make me an MCSE Security for 2003 so chuffed, finally got the equivalent of black belt for computers.  This week I’m concentrating on doing the first of two upgrade courses and exams to qualify me on the server 2008 track.  I thought I would get them done before the families arrive. If I leave it to long it will be the middle of next year before I look again, so best out the way.

DSCF1168Tina is fit and well, constantly mothering Amber which is great. She is enjoying the time together and seeing her grow. I cant state enough how much of a wonderful mother she is.  Amber is a cutie and constantly surprises. She is trying to stand this week, after mastering the sitting up position in the last three weeks, she is growing fast. She is great of course, but can get a little annoying at 3:30 every morning. But we’ll persevere.

The picture is of Amber and the dummy that my Dad sent over. The second of two as the first was accidentally melted in a sterilisation attempt in the microwave. An honest mistake or so I was told.

Spring time is upon us, and the clocks will go forward on September 27, when we will be exactly 12 hours ahead of the UK again, until their clocks change sometime in October. Then 11 once more.  Which means the attack of the gardening starts. The vegetation here shoots up at a rapid rate and needs looking at each weekend. I’m actually grateful when Autumn rolls round so I have 6 months off from cutting the grass and trimming the hedge.  Last Sunday I cracked out the lawnmower for the first time, and managed to coax it back into life.  2 hours later I had finished mowing the back lawn, and gave up on the front lawn leaving it for this weekend, shame it looks like rain though :-)   We even managed to get out to the cinema last weekend. Jan baby sat Amber and we slipped away to watch District 9. Which wasn’t bad but a little predictable, Good special effects though.  I’ve just realised that when the clocks go forward Amber will be waking up an hour earlier.  Oh bugger.

STOP PRESS, just found out I had my letter read out on the Daily Giz Wiz :-)   I was walking through town listening to last Fridays episode when suddenly I was listening to my name being read out, Fame at last for a geek :-)   listen here, if your interested.
